There are all sorts of different brands that sell patina paints but I’ve always used Dixie Belles Patina finishes and have always LOVED the results. The fastest and simplest way to create an authentic-looking patina or verdigris finish is by using patina paints. I made sure to keep all the clock parts and the clock hands in a plastic cup for safe keeping as I didn’t want to lose any of the small parts. If TECU® Patina sheets are installed in interior areas, the natural colour blending process takes longer, as the development of the patina surface indoors is mainly influenced by the air's humidity. Differences in the colour of natural surfaces such as TECU® Patina are not a shortcoming, but rather a sign of quality. TECU® Patina is always extremely varied, just as you would expect from a natural surface. This process causes a patina layer to grow on top of a pre-oxidised copper surface – a process similar to the natural patination that occurs over a long period of time when copper is exposed to atmospheric conditions.
